- HAYES 2400 & RBBS ver.# CPC12.4
-
-
- Are you having problems running your HAYES 2400 with RBBS?
- Well don't feel like the Lone Ranger. I wasn't real happy with
- the situation either, but I finally got it going. Since the
- switches are not there anymore, (ugh!) you will need to write to
- the S registers to configure your modem. I found that using
- either QMODEM or PC-TALK works quite well for this. Use the
- following commands to write to the modem and prepare it for use
- with RBBS. These will be written to the non-volitle memory in
- the modem and will be retrived when the modem encounters an ATZ.
- The modem can be used from the factory with the current defaults
- with exception of S register 21. The command line below contains
- the modem attention code (AT), the factory defaults (&F), the
- value you are setting register 21 to and finally writing (&W) it
- all to the non volitle memory in the modem.
-
- AT&FS21=48&W
-
- Once you have finished this, you are now ready to modify RBBS.
-
- Load CPC12.4? into basic after it has been save in ASCII format.
- Merge RBBHAYES.MRG
- Save in ASCII format.
- Compile
-
- You are now in business.
- Have fun and enjoy your new modem. I sure am.
-
- If you should have any problems with the above drop me a line and
- I will give it my best shot to get you going.
